Lament

'Lament’ was described to me as a visual poem contemplating death and mourning. The score primarily consists of brooding textural strings, pitched-down percussion and the mourning sound of the Irish instrument, Uilleann pipes. I had luck with finding a Uilleann pipe player in Denmark, whom I visited and recorded loads of takes with.
I was also one-half of the sound design team. The creative challenge was to connect the concrete and abstract with music and sound.
