BEHIND THE WORK
THE WATCHERS draw inspiration from the 'Book of Enoch' and its fallen angels. The dancers are drawn to the sensual, human world and embody a physical journey.
I worked closely with Dorotea to create the soundtrack for this performance. We wanted to create a soundworld that would make you physically feel the elements and the breakdown of the characters. We wanted the music to push the dancers to the edge.
I used a lot of destructive processing + relentless and intertwined arpeggios to underline the themes of lust, destructive transformation and losing sense of self in a group.
